Success Story: Enabling Tender Success

Client Context 

Valley Tree Services (VTS) is a privately owned arboriculture business in Bellingen, New South Wales. To secure a panel contract with Transport for NSW, VTS required updated WHS documentation that met current legislative requirements and demonstrated compliance capability.

Project Overview

Organisational Risk Consulting (ORC) was engaged to provide safety compliance expertise, strengthening VTS’s documentation and positioning the business for tender success. The project also expanded to include the preparation of a Heavy Vehicle Chain of Responsibility (CoR) Management Plan and further document reviews in response to feedback from Transport for NSW.

Our Approach
ORC worked closely with Valley Tree Services to provide practical and compliant solutions that addressed immediate tender requirements while building longer-term capabilities. 

The engagement included:

• Strengthening WHS governance: Reviewing existing documentation and replacing outdated materials with clear, legally compliant frameworks. 
• Preparing tailored documentation: Developing WHS, Quality, and Environmental management plans that aligned with legislative and ISO standards, while being practical for a small business to apply. 
• Supporting heavy vehicle compliance: Delivering a Chain of Responsibility (CoR) Management Plan to meet legal and contractual obligations. 
• Tender-focused support: Aligning documentation with government procurement expectations and responding to Transport for NSW feedback to ensure a strong submission.
